How To Support Black-Owned Businesses And BLM Initiatives At CraftHER Market

craftHER Market has always been a space to support both small businesses and community initiatives. Over the years, we have used the market to fundraise for everything from DACA renewals to community members’ medical bills. So, this weekend, in anticipation of craftHER Market (At Home), we’re uplifting initiatives that support Black Lives Matter and amplifying the voices of Black makers, entrepreneurs, and small business owners featured on our lineup.

Important note before you read: As part of our craftHER Market mindset, we believe that when we consciously support racially and culturally diverse businesses, we have the opportunity to redistribute economic wealth and value within our communities more equally. This core belief has been integral to the development and growth of the market, guiding our curatorial practices, affordability policies, as well as our developing scholarship/grant program. But this work is never finished—it’s ever-evolving and we want you to learn along with us. Our team has compiled a resource guide from our board, friends, anti-racist organizations and activists on how to start and continue doing anti-racism work in our personal and professional lives. Commit to listening and learning from people who do this work everyday, and show up now and always.

MEET THIS WEEKEND’S FEATURED #BLACKOWNEDANDOPERATED BUSINESSES.

Every business you see here has exhibited at our biannual craftHER Market and is featured in our digital marketplace this weekend. (You can see the full lineup, schedule, and RSVP for free or by donation here.)
