craftHER Market Has Been Postponed to August 1 and 2
The last couple days have been a whirlwind as a result of our country’s evolving stance on COVID-19. Now that we are fully aware of the impact that social distancing and limiting public events can have on flattening the coronavirus curve, craftHER Market has been postponed from April 11 and 12 to August 1 and 2, 2020.
Our organization is sustaining a $15,000 loss to due to this postponement, but we are grateful to have the resources to pivot. Our vendors, many of which are solopreneurs and small businesses, have been offered the option to request a refund or participate in the market this summer. Our venue, Fair Market, has been kind enough to reschedule without increasing our losses. This community is resilient and future-forward. With that, we offer a few resources and next steps:
ATTEND OUR COVID-19 SMALL BUSINESS PIVOT WORKSHOPS: We'll be hosting an online workshop in a few weeks exploring crisis management, pivoting budgets and strategies as well as preparing for Tax Day on April 15. Click here to attend.
SUPPORT OUR RECOVERY EFFORTS: Over the next few months, our umbrella organization (bbatx) will be engaged in recovery efforts. This looks like asking for donations, but it also looks like promoting the hell out of our events and program participants. <3 This also means that launching our membership program is going to be paramount and pivotal. Subscribe to our bimonthly newsletter to stay in the loop or keep up with us on social media (@bossbabesatx on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter). That’s the best way to support right now.
SEND YOUR LOVE TO OUR VENDORS: Our vendors are facing many cancellations. Browse our Summer 2020 lineup and shop their work online at crafthermarket.com.
WHEN IT’S SAFE TO HUG, COME SAY HI. OK?
